Sorry it's taken me a while to welcome you -- I've had a lot on my plate lately. At the time you joined my husband and I were visiting my mother in Florida. We only just returned this past weekend, after almost 3 weeks.
Thanks for your kind comments about this site. I only hope it does writers and editors like you justice! :o)
I wish you the best in reclaiming your dream -- it is never too late! I do hope to get to know you better through this network, and that you will be inspired to keep chasing (and catching!) your writerly dreams!

Hello everyone. I am not yet a writer but sincerely hope to be moving in that direction. Funny, never before have I posted online and been worried about first impressions. Knowing that I am surrounded by editors and working writers here is really upping the ante.
Life's many detours have taken me a long way from my dream of living in the literary world. This is my first step towards reclaiming that dream, even if it is a largely reworked version.
