I have some friends up near your area -- you're near Cypress/Cy-Fair, correct? Maybe if there's ever a meet-up there I can join in!
And you're new to the area, I see? Welcome! I've lived in Houston for 5 years now, and I'm still getting used to it. Where did you move from?
If you'd like, I can create a group for the NW Houston/Cy-Fair area, that way you can network with other writers who join from that area.
I write for Sugar Land Magazine, which has two sister magazines: Katy Magazine and Cy-Fair Magazine. Ill see about sharing a link with my editor, and perhaps she can pass it on to local writers in your (and my!) area.
I can also get you more information on Cy-Fair Magazine, if you'd like to query them.
